Day +17 Continued
I just spoke with ICU attending physician. Jeff's liver enzymes are trending downward (that's good), and his kidneys are still producing urine. The pneumonia is concentrated in a portion of one lung. All of this means that as long nothing else comes up, the doctor is hopeful that in 2 or 3 days they will be able to start weaning him from the ventilator.

Thank you, God, and all the physicians and nursing staff taking care of our Jeff. He is a fighter, Jamie, and he just has to win this battle. Stay strong for him and J.D. and rest when you can. Please give Marilyn a huge hug from her family, and our love to everyone there by Jeff's side.

Glad to hear things are once again headed for the up-side. Know that many thoughts and prayers are sent every day for Jeff, Jamie, JD and all the family of both of you! Stay strong..together..you can beat this! You are truly an inspiration to all and I hope that one day you can look back on all of this and just say "we did it" and enjoy some better time together!
